Originally operating as Homeless International we started way back in 1989 as an NGO dedicated to the alleviation of housing poverty in the developing world. A pioneering approach to aid finance saw us devise ground-breaking projects, like the CLIFF (Community-Led Infrastructure Finance Facility) programme.
These initiatives led to deeper market participation and in 2014 we became Reall, a social enterprise and limited company committed to leveraging capital finance to invest in affordable housing.
As of 2019, our 30th year of operation, we have widened our remit. Now our goal is to put a roof over humanity by building the affordable homes movement.
Over 3,500,000 people reached through Reall projects, including;
Over 730,000 people living on low incomes having been empowered to improve, develop or own their own home.
Almost 1,300,000 people gaining security from threat of eviction
Over 450,000 people benefitting from improved water provision
Over 1,100,000 people benefitting from improved sanitation
