3.1 We do not guarantee that our Website, or any content on it, will always be available or that your ability to use it will be uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Website for business or operational reasons.

For the avoidance of doubt, if any use of the Website results in the need for servicing or replacing equipment or data, we shall not under any circumstances be responsible for those costs.

4.4.4 If you print off, copy or download any part of our Website in breach of these Terms of Use, your right to use our Website will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

4.4.5 The Reall name and Reall logo are registered trade marks and cannot be reproduced without our prior written permission, save as permitted by this Clause 4.

4.4.6 The permission to allow any person to use the Reall logo shall only be given at our absolute discretion to:

4.4.7 partners or collaborators of Reall, for use in a project in which Reall is formally involved

4.4.8 organisers of events which Reall is sponsoring or is officially associated with

4.4.9 users who are showcasing or including Reallâ s open Data Dashboard data in a project e.g. a presentation or report

4.4.10 Any use of Reallâ s logo is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from Reall. Requests for the use of our logo or commercial use of any item on our Website should be sent to [email protected]

4.4.11 Where we give you permission to use our logo in accordance with this Clause 4, your usage shall be restricted to direct, specific references to a project, paper or event with which we are involved. The logo shall not under any circumstances be permitted to be used to imply a broad or generic association with Reall. 

4.4.12 Some items on this website, such as photos, do not belong to Reall and are published with permission of the copyright owner (on photos this is may be indicated in the alternative text). Permission to copy these items must be requested from the copyright ownerâ s.

Data Dashboard

The Terms of Use detailed below apply specifically to Reallâ s Data Dashboard (https://www.reall.net/data-dashboard/global) (â œData Dashboard⠝).

Reall Ltd (⠜Reall⠝) endeavours to make its project data as freely available as possible in order to demonstrate the successes of its model and encourage other actors into the affordable homes movement. Reall provides the user with access to these data free of charge subject to the terms of this agreement.

5. Licences

5.1 Users are encouraged to use the data to benefit themselves and others in creative ways.

5.2 Unless specifically labelled otherwise, you are free to copy, distribute, adapt, display or include the data in other products for commercial or non-commercial purposes for no cost under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (⠜CC BY 4.0 Licence⠝), with the additional terms below.  Read the basic terms [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/]. By using or downloading the data, users are agreeing to comply with the terms of a CC BY 4.0 Licence, and also agreeing to comply with the following mandatory and binding additions:

5.2.1 You agree to provide attribution to Reall in any published use of the data, including but not limited to articles, papers, blogs, books. Usage includes both direct publication of the existing data, along with any analysis undertaken by the user. This attribution should include Reallâ s name and the following link â “ www.reall.net/dashboard. An electronic copy of all reports and publications based on the requested data should be sent to Reall.

5.2.2 When published use contains Market Shaping Indicators data, or analysis of Market Shaping Indicators data, from African countries, you agree to also provide attribution to the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (â œCAHF⠝). This attribution should include CAHFâ s name and the following link â “ housingfinanceafrica.org. An electronic copy of all reports and publications based on the data should be shared with CAHF ([email protected]).

5.2.3 When sharing or facilitating access to the data from the Data Dashboard, you agree to include the same acknowledgement requirements, as set out above, in any sub-licences of the data that you grant, and a requirement that any sub-licensees do the same. You may meet this requirement by providing a hyperlink to these Terms of Use.

5.2.4 Some datasets and indicators are provided by third parties, and may be subject to additional terms and conditions. Where applicable, third party data is labelled as such, and usage conditions can be found on their respective websites.

6. Accounts

6.1  The Data Dashboard requires you to create an account in order to download any data, though not to view data online. All account holders are subject to the following rules:

6.1.1 You must be at least 16 years old.

6.1.2 If asked for any personal details, you must answer truthfully (please see Reallâ s Privacy Statement for what we do with those details). You must supply a valid e-mail address. Any users found to have provided incorrect answers are liable to have their accounts deleted without warning.

6.1.3 You are responsible for the security of your account and making sure that any contact details in the account are kept up to date.

6.1.4 You must not let anyone else use your account. If pressure is applied to you to do so â ” for example if an employer demands your username and password â ” please inform them that their attempt to subvert your agreement with Reall will mean that they have no permission to use any of Reallâ s services.

6.1.5 You must let us know of any unauthorised use of your account as soon as you are able to after becoming aware of it.

6.1.6 Reall reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account at any time. Equally, you may close your account at any time.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted under applicable law:

7.1 If you breach any of your obligations under this agreement and, as a result, cause Reall to be sued by anyone else, you will have to provide compensation for any loss that Reall has suffered as a result. This includes any costs that are incurred defending a claim (both monetary and time) as well as any damages awarded.

7.2 Reall shall not be liable to you or any other party for any direct, indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to any loss of profits, loss of sales or business, loss of savings, loss of or damage to goodwill, or any loss of use or corruption of software, data or information howsoever occurring, regardless of whether such loss was foreseeable or unforeseeable. 

7.3 Neither party is liable for anything which is beyond their reasonable control.

8. Data Accuracy

8.1  Reall strongly recommends that Reall data be acquired directly from the Data Dashboard and not through other sources that may change the information in some way or exclude material crucial to the understanding of that information. 

8.2 Every effort is made to provide accurate and complete information. However, accuracy of data is often dependent on accurate primary data collection by Reallâ s downstream partners, and we cannot guarantee that there will be no errors. We make no claims, promises or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the data of this website and expressly disclaim liability for errors and omissions. Some data may also change between updates, and substantive changes may be noted when data is next updated.

8.3 The data posted on the Data Dashboard and website may contain hypertext links or pointers to information created and maintained by other public and private organisations. These links and pointers are provided for visitorsâ convenience. Reall does not control or guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of any linked information.

9. Personal Data

9.1 Some of the data displayed on the Data Dashboard will refer to individual project clients. We will only use personal data as set out in our Privacy Statement. In cases where you are registering to download data from Reallâ s Data Dashboard, we will always anonymise key identifiers such as name, house number, phone number/email but we may potentially keep data such as your employerâ s name, income and household demographics. 

9.2 Users agree that no attempt will be made to re-identify any respondents, and no use will be made of the identity of any individual discovered inadvertently via a data breach. Any such breach should immediately be reported to Reall by emailing [email protected]

10. Accessibility

With the exception of graphical text, text size on our website can be increased or decreased using the options in your browser menu:

10.1 In Google Chrome: Open Chrome, tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner, and select ⠜Settings⠝. Tap ⠜Accessibility,⠝ then adjust the ⠜Text scaling⠝ slider until the text is comfortable for you to read.

10.2 In Mozilla Firefox: Using the zoom settings in the Firefox menu to make text larger. Select the Menu button in the top-right of the Firefox web browser. In the Zoom section, select the + (plus) button to increase the size of text and images. Select the – (minus) button to decrease the size of text and images.

10.3 In Safari: To increase the font size, press Option-Command-Plus sign (+). To decrease the font size, press Option-Command-Minus sign (-)

All images on our website have alternative text apart from those used for aesthetic purposes only.

11. Links outward

11.1 The Website may provide links to other third-party websites which are not under our control, including those which may refer to Reall. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy policies, content or practices of these other websites. If you decide to access linked third-party websites, you do so at your own risk. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we do not endorse any of the products or services advertised or available on any of the sites that we link to.

11.2 In our events calendar, we may include links to other third-party websites; for example, where you can see a map of the event venue location. These links are provided for general information purposes only are we shall not be responsible for the content of these websites or the accuracy of the information given.

11.3 We retain the right to add or remove links on the Website at any time.

12.1 You may link to the home page of our Website, provided you do so in a way that is fair, legal and does not damage our reputation in any way, or take advantage of it.

12.2 All links to our Website must be appropriate and relevant in the context of Reallâ s activities. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists, nor imply without our prior consent that we have approved or endorsed you in any way.

13.1 This agreement is made under the laws of England and Wales.

13.2 We may update these terms and conditions at any time. If we do so, we will announce the change on our blog. Any changes will be binding on you from the moment we announce them.

13.3 If any part of this agreement is ineffective (for example because it is unlawful) then the rest of the agreement should be read without it.

13.4 This agreement is between Reall and the user, and is not intended to give anyone else any rights.

13.5 Reall may sometimes fail to enforce our rights under this agreement (for example because we decide not to, or we did not realise you were in breach of contract). Just because we have not enforced any of our rights, does not stop us from doing so in the future.
